Last month, Geotechnical Systems Engineer Alexis Antoniou visited Amin Design and Consultancy in Bangladesh to install upgrades to their Resonant Column Apparatus (RCA) and Enterprise Level Dynamic Triaxial Testing System (ELDYN).
The RCA was upgraded with a torsional shear proximitor, to allow the team to perform cyclic torsional shear tests. A 50mm bender elements system was installed on their 5kN/5Hz ELDYN. The upgrades were undertaken to aid research in soil testing projects around Dhaka (Bangladesh).
