Geotechnical engineering is the branch of civil engineering concerned with the engineering behaviour of earth materials. Geotechnical engineering is often considered a “New Science”, with modern techniques born from the early to mid-1900’s. GDS was set-up in 1979 and have been at the forefront of modern material testing equipment ever since. The Learning Zone is an area of the website where GDS will be publishing information and knowledge on Geotechnical engineering. GDS hope to make this area a useful resource for those working in and up and coming in the industry.
Within the learning zone you will be able to download white papers on various Geotechnical subjects, find case studies of real-user experiences, find references to technical papers that have used GDS products and watch video demonstrations. Additional resources will be added shortly.
