Stade de Mezzanine was at full capacity for GDS’ first ever World Cup Table Football finale. The hotly contested final saw Cameroon battle past a resilient French side to secure the title.
The tournament followed the format of the Qatar World Cup, with teams having to navigate the tricky group stages before the knock-out rounds. Played during the football world cup, the Stade de Mezzanine has been home to teams (picked at random) from every department who have battled to win the prestigious title and bragging rights. However, it was the courageous defending of Michael Hart and lethal finishing of Steve Cummins representing Cameroon, who overcame one of the pre-tournament favourites France, (Alex & Grant) to take the title.
