What is a Consolidation Test?
The consolidation test simply applies a constant cell and back pressure to the sample whilst monitoring the volume change within the sample.
What Consolidation Test Equipment will I need?
At GDS we specialise in automation of triaxial and consolidation test equipment. We manufacture both the Rowe and Barden Consolidation Testing cell (hydraulically actuated actuator), the CRS (Constant Rate of Strain) type cell consolidation test equipment and the Automated Oedometer System, which is designed to replace the traditional hanging weight oedometer system.
The consolidation test can be carried out from a number of different consolidation systems from GDS. Below is a list of equipment that can perform the consolidation test. The SATCON test module will be required to perform the saturation and consolidation test.
