Home Test Methods Rock Testing Consolidated Undrained (CU) Triaxial Rock Test Equipment Consolidated Undrained (CU) Triaxial Rock Test Equipment A Consolidated Undrained triaxial test (CU test) is a constant rate of strain shearing test performed undrained, i.e. with no back pressure control on the sample (i.e. the back pressure valve is closed). Unlike a CD tests (Consolidated Drained), excess pore pressure will be seen to build up. The sample has first been saturated and consolidated. Please note: Some apparatus may require additional components or software modules to perform certain tests. The following rock test equipment can perform the Consolidated Undrained (CU) Triaxial rock test:- Hydraulic Load Frames for Rock for consolidated undrained (cu) triaxial rock test 1000kN (1MN) / 2000kN (2MN) Static Compression Only Loadframe for consolidated undrained (cu) triaxial rock test Environmental Triaxial Testing System for consolidated undrained (cu) triaxial rock test Environmental Triaxial Automated System for consolidated undrained (cu) triaxial rock test GDS Small-Strain Hollow Cylinder Apparatus for consolidated undrained (cu) triaxial rock test GDS Large Diameter Cyclic Triaxial Testing System for consolidated undrained (cu) triaxial rock test Advanced Dynamic Triaxial Testing System for consolidated undrained (cu) triaxial rock test GDS Enterprise Level Dynamic Triaxial Testing System for consolidated undrained (cu) triaxial rock test Hydraulic Load Frames for Soil for consolidated undrained (cu) triaxial rock test Virtual Infinite Stiffness Load Frames for consolidated undrained (cu) triaxial rock test Triaxial Automated System (Load Frame type) for consolidated undrained (cu) triaxial rock test Triaxial Testing System (Automated Stress Path type) for consolidated undrained (cu) triaxial rock test
