Alexis Antoniou, a Geotechnical Systems Engineer here at GDS Instruments (GDS), recently installed an Advanced Dynamic Triaxial Testing System (DYNTTS) at the University of Melbourne, within their Department of Infrastructure Engineering. 

As global concerns increase about the pace of energy transition in accounting for long-term climate risks, the shift from fossil-based energy production to renewable sources, like wind, has been accelerated. Within Taiwan, the national offshore wind allocation plan has set a target of increasing local production to 20GW by 2035.

In 2017 a delegation from the University of Split visited GDS’s offices in the UK, whilst considering apparatus for their research project on the behaviour of soft rocks and soil.
